One of the first trips I took during my Au pair year (except NYC where our training was held) was to Los Angeles, California. As an Au pair you have to take 6 credits to forfill your VISA requirments so we went to LA for some classes, but of course taking a couple of extra days off to be able to explore the famous city. We did everything touristy you can think of, such as; walk the Walk of fame, Santa Monica Beach, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, Hollywood sign etc. But one of the coolest things were that we actually matched our visit with the Oscars Gala, so we got to see all the excitment around this event. Amazing place.
